Guitar Lessons

Guitar lessons are the only good way to learn guitar unless you are talented enough to learn on your own like Eric Clapton learned from the old Blues masters. He learned from players like Robert Johnson, Albert King and Elmore James just to name a few.

However most of us need some help learning and a one on one teaching is one of the best ways, group lessons are also good and usually cost less.

You need lessons to get you going in the right direction. You need to learn the basics of scales and chords along with reading music notation and or tablature. You should learn both notation and tablature it will give you more music to learn.

This is how I learned, they even had guitar rental so you didn't have to buy a guitar right away. This helps keep the cost down to see if you are going to stick with it.
